The Opening Ceremony of the biggest sports event in Europe this year – the European Universities Games Łódź 2022 – will take place on July 17. For two weeks, over 6000 athletes will compete in 20 disciplines played in 15 venues.

The detailed program of the ceremony will be kept secret until the end, but we can reveal that it will include, among others ceremonial parade of athletes, artistic performances, including a concert of a 100-person orchestra combined with a visual show.

Among the invited special guests are, among others President of the Republic of Poland, Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, President of Łódź, Rector of the Lodz University of Technology, President of Polish Academic Sports Association, President of EUSA and also event ambassadors such as: Marcin Gortat, Euzebiusz Smolarek, Adam Kszczot or Kajetan Duszyński and many other fantastic personalities.

The ceremony will take place in the largest sports and entertainment hall in Łódź, Atlas Arena. It will start on Sunday 17 July at 21:00. The event is free of charge, but a special invitation is required to take part in it, which, due to the limited number of seats in the hall, will be selected among all participants by draw.
