An important part of European Universities Games were disciplines for people with disabilities, who were invited to participate in 3 sports: sitting volleyball, para weightlifting and para table tennis.
Table tennis tournament was held as a part of European University Champioship – it was also organized during previous editions of EUG – in Zagreb and Coimbra.
Additionally, a demonstrative competition in sitting volleyball and para weightlifting took place, to promote and encourage persons with disabilities to get involved in sports.
Event in Lodz was an opportunity to promote IMP project (Integrative Polish Championships) – series of competition and events for people with disabilities. It was also an important subject during workshops, seminars and educational events which were held during EUG.
