This Saturday, several thousand people will march in Łódź in a colourful procession. To the rhythm of samba and with dancing steps, athletes and volunteers who have come to the European Universities Games 2022 will march down Piotrkowska Street. The organisers of the ‘Sambodrome’ invite Łódź residents to join in the fun.

No one is surprised any more on the streets of Łódź by the sight of student-athletes in their university shirts and volunteers, who are helping with the European Universities Games. For a few days now, the city has become the European centre of academic sport.
At the halfway point of the Games, athletes from, among others, Germany, Ukraine, France, Cyprus, Croatia, Portugal, Spain, Slovakia and, of course, Poland – a total of nearly 40 European countries – will meet to march down the length of Piotrkowska Street to the rhythm of samba, led by dancers from Brazil.
– The colourful procession will be led by a truck with a platform, from which hot Latin American sounds will blast, and the dancers will put the participants in a memorable mood. The musical parade will pass by the Games countdown clock, i.e. from 155 Piotrkowska Street.
The organisers invite to the “Sambodrom” all those wishing to spend their Saturday evening to the rythm of samba. The march starts at 9 p.m. and the end of the fun is scheduled to end at 11 p.m.
