Two teams of 7 players take part in the game, including one goalkeeper. The object of the game is to score more goals than the opposing team. A point (goal) is scored when the ball passes the entire perimeter of the goal line and is inside the goal. The ball may be caught, thrown, pushed, hit, stopped. Players may touch the ball with any part of the body except the lower leg and feet. If a player is not dribbling the ball, he may keep it for a maximum of 3 seconds. The goalkeeper is exempt from these rules, provided he/she is in the goal area.

When a player of either team is taking a shot for the goal, they must not cross the goal line, which is 6 meters from the goal.
